Raindrop Turkish House hosted medical Doctor Musa Yilmaz for an educational workshop series " What to do in Childhood Emergencies? ".The participants were very happy at the end of the work shop, and they all said this was an eye opening workshop. Our president presented an Appreciation Award to Dr. Musa Yilmaz for his dedication and commitment to our community.
It was a great experience for the
participants to learn more about authentic Turkish cuisine. They actively participated
in creating fabulous masterpieces of Turkish cuisine during the class. At the
end, students fill out the survey.Everybody
was so happy about the class. Of course, at the end they all enjoyed the food
that they have prepared. We apologize for some people who are not able to join
us due to limited space. We will ask you to fill out the application form online

Raindrop Turkish House hosted Turkish graduate students from
greater Houston area for a dinner in Truquoise Center.Our president had
a warm welcoming speech. The program continued with the Raindrop Turkish House
presentation. Raindrop Turkish House was very happy to make this event possible
with Turkish American Student Association.
Raindrop Turkish House hosted students, teachers and
administrators from St. Agnes School for a friendship dinner. The program started
with a welcoming speech from our president. Our executive director gave a
presentation about Raindrop Turkish House. Principal sister Jane shared her
remarks with us. Our president presented appreciation certificate to Sister
Jane for the dedication and support of St. Agnes School to our community.

Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, Susan Combs spoke at Raindrop Morning Conversation Series.Ms.Combs serves as the state's chief financial officer. She manages the state's treasury operations to monitor Texas' fiscal health, guides legislative decision makers by estimating state revenues and ensures state taxes are collected fairly and efficiently to fund vital programs and services for the people of Texas.(August 12, 2009, Houston, TX)
Raindrop Forum welcomed Dr. Abelardo Saavedra at a luncheon program. Dr. Saavedra is the Superintendent of schools for the Houston Independent School District (HISD). HISD is the largest school system in Texas and the seventh-largest in the nation. HISD has 200, 000 students, nearly 300 schools, 29,000 employees and a budget of $1.5 billion. The 3rd Annual Texas Turkish Language Olympiad winners are participating in 7th International Turkish Language Olympiad in Turkey. Texas team's performance has been covered by Turkish media. Samanyolu TV made announcement about this event.
