Dear Community members, 

Recently, fire destroyed approximately 9,800 acres of forested area in Antalya, Turkey (http://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/08/02/turkey.fires.)

Because of the loss of thousands of trees, the people of the region have suffered a devastating loss. 

Your generous contributions, a total of $3,137.20, for those affected by the earthquake in China in May 2009 have been delivered to the Hon. Qiao Hong, the Consul General of China in Houston. Hon. Qiao expressed the sincere gratitude of Chinese people to Raindrop Executives because of this help. They also talked about the great contribution of China and Turkey to the world's culture.  

We owe our greatest gratitude to everyone who donated to this campaign generously and once again our sympathy goes out to those families who have lost their loved ones. (July 30, 2008, Houston, TX)

Raindrop Helping Hands delivered 58 donated toys to the Volunteer Unit of the Texas Children's Hospital at the Medical Center of Houston for children there. Ms Laura Marceau, Volunteer Coordinator, expressed his gratitude to Helping Hands for this generous contribution which will make children happy.

Raindrop Helping Hands expresses its deepest condolences to the Chinese government and people for the tragic loss of life and the devastation wrought by the earthquake on May, 12. The earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 occured in the southwestern area of China and left nearly 10,000 people dead and almost 20,000 people lost. It was the worst earthquake during last three decades in China. Our sympathy goes out to those families who have lost their loved ones.

We stand by the victims and we support the government's good efforts to alleviate their sufferings and rebuild their livelihoods. (May 13, 2008, Houston, Texas)
